Shipping and Receiving Clerk- 2nd shift

Job Description:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments for the company. This includes receiving and inspecting all incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the contents, and ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is also responsible for preparing all outgoing shipments, including packing items, labeling boxes, and arranging for pickup by the appropriate carrier.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect all incoming shipments
• Verify the accuracy of the contents of each shipment
• Ensure that all items are properly labeled and stored
• Prepare all outgoing shipments
• Pack items, label boxes, and arrange for pickup by the appropriate carrier
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Communicate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Assist with inventory management as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shipping software
